UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST

About St. Paul’s UCC

St. Paul’s United Church of Christ is called to be a child-centered and service-oriented church that believes God is still speaking! We are dedicated to deepening our faith and love for God and creation through questioning, critical thinking, spiritual growth, and service to our sisters and brothers.

You are invited to join us in this vital ministry.  Drop in one Sunday morning at 10:30 am and join us in worship with lively jazz and prophetic preaching.  Join us in serving the people of New Orleans by volunteering with one of our Partner in Ministry organizations.

St. Paul’s Mission Statement

Our mission is to create opportunities for all people to become disciples of Christ through expansive, multicultural, and vibrant worship of God; through providing educational opportunities which encourage critical thinking and questioning;  through offering spiritual growth groups which allow for vulnerability, doubt, and imperfection; and through providing opportunities to work towards the Kingdom of God on Earth through service to the City of New Orleans, its children, and the World.

Community Partners

Food insecurity does not discriminate. Many residents of the Broadmoor neighborhood and the surrounding 70125 ZIP code experience food insecurity, so BIA and the Broadmoor Community Church partnered in July 2013 to address this need. The Broadmoor Food Pantry at  was born and became a Second Harvest Food Bank member agency.

Capstone is a small non profit that has taken 26 previously blighted or vacant lots in the Lower Ninth Ward and developed them into productive gardens and orchards. Located in part of a food desert Capstone grows and provides food at no cost to those who need it.
